Our Story
Mary Kathryn Carpenter Haynie began working as a professional photographer before she even arrived as a student at The University of Alabama. For over a decade now, she has shot UA grad sessions, weddings, and branding photography for hundreds of clients in Tuscaloosa and throughout the Southeast.
The Studio has been a longtime dream of MK’s. When the current space opened up in downtown Tuscaloosa, it seemed like the perfect spot and the perfect time to turn that dream into a reality.

Turn It Up!
Did you know MK comes from a family of musicians and knows how to play the guitar? While she and Chad love to go concerts together, her favorite times are spent listening to Taylor Swift.
The Zoo
Did you know that MK and her husband have six pets?! Three dogs: Hannah, Bear, and Moose, along with three cats: Louise, Biscuit, and Gravy. After losing their kitten George to heart failure, MK now annually gives a portion of each Grad session booked in January to the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter.
