Historically Cool
The Exchange Building was built in 1906 and was the original home of the Druid City Infirmary, what eventually transformed into Druid City Hospital. As Tuscaloosa and Northport continued to grow, a new Druid City Hospital was built in 1923 on The University of Alabama campus where Russell Hall stands today. The university purchased the Exchange Building and through the years it would become home to multiple small businesses as it remains today.
Studio Features
While we’re continuously adding new features to The Studio, here are some of the things you can expect with a rental.
Seamless
Photo / Video rentals include free usage of seamless backdrops. Our color options include: whitest white, crimson, emerald, sky blue, pink, beige, and black.
Lights
Photo / Video rentals have the option of renting a Westcott lighting kit for $20 for the length of your studio rental.
Parking
Ample free parking is located on University Boulevard, surrounding streets and a parking lot behind the Studio.

Affordability
We take pride in keeping our rental costs low for both creative sessions and events to remain a budget friendly option.
Furniture
Usable studio furniture includes a lightweight leather couch and wide soft-textured white chair. Event rentals include 20 elegant white folding chairs, two 6' round tables, and an 8' buffet table.
Easy Scheduling
Our self-service scheduling portal gives you the ability to book a session at the Studio in just a couple of minutes. You can also reschedule your reservation on your own without any hassle.
